POWERS & FUNCTIONS
(i) To monitor the implementation of this Court’s orders and place reports of non-compliance before the Court and Central Government for appropriate action.
(ii) To examine pending Interlocutory Applications, reports and affidavits filed by the States and place recommendations before the Court.
(iii) To deal with applications made by any aggrieved person and report to the Court.
(iv) The Committee may call for documents, conduct site inspections, seek assistance, co-opt members and suggest measures.
(v) To examine and advise on any issue referred to the Committee.
JURISDICTION
The jurisdiction of the Committee extends to the whole of India.
